Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies (No Bake}

These no-bake cookies are the perfect combination of chocolate and peanut butter. There are many chocolate and peanut butter desserts. For example, chocolate peanut butter ooey gooey cake, chocolate peanut butter fudge, and peanut butter hi-hat cookies (just to name a few). But when I’m craving a chocolate and peanut butter combo, it’s nice to have an easy treat like these No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies.

Ingredients for Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

With just a few ingredients (and no oven required), you can make these no-bake chocolate peanut butter biscuits in minutes.

Instant Oats These quick cooking oats are more processed than Old Fashioned Oats, which allows the oats to cook faster. If you have old fashioned oats, you can use those, but they may not be as soft as the cookies and will be more chewy.

Butter. I used unsalted butter this time, so I added 1/4 teaspoon salt. If you use salted butter, you can omit the salt.

Peanut butter. I chose creamy peanut butter because of the texture you get from the oats. However, you can also use crunchy peanut butter to give each bite a little crunch.

What if the cookies don’t harden?

This can happen if the chocolate mixture is not hot enough. I let it soften (just enough bubbles on the surface) and then removed it from the heat. Conversely, if the chocolate mixture is boiled for a long time, the cookies may become dry. Therefore, once the chocolate mixture reaches the soft boiling point, it should reach perfect firmness.

How to store and freeze no-bake cookies

We like to enjoy these cookies at room temperature. I often store them in an airtight container in a single layer for several days. If it is hot, you can totally put them in the refrigerator.

To freeze, allow them to cool completely before placing them in a plastic bag or airtight container suitable for freezing for up to 3 months. Be sure to label them!

To thaw cookies, leave them on the counter and bring them to room temperature.
