If you have an electric oven with a glass ceramic hob, you’re probably familiar with the struggle to keep it clean. The slightest bubble of water on the edge of a pan and suddenly you’re faced with a burnt mess. If your glass-ceramic cooktop is in bad shape, check out these five super-effective methods to get it shining again.
- Vinegar and baking sodaBecause what can’t vinegar and baking soda do? Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda all over your kitchen countertop. Then sprinkle distilled vinegar on top. Let the solution sit for half an hour and then wipe it off with a damp cloth.
2-Kitchen soap
Pour a good amount of liquid dish soap on the countertop. Then sprinkle a little baking soda on top. To finish, pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide. Use a sponge or brush to scrub the countertop. Then wipe it with a damp cloth.
3-Razor Blade
If you have heavily encrusted residue in your kitchen, a razor blade may be the best solution. Spray some cleaning product on your stove, then carefully use the flat side of the razor blade to scrape off the dirt.
4-Damp towel
Sprinkle some baking soda and vinegar on the countertop (as in point 1). Then soak a towel in hot water. Wring out the towel and place it on top of the stove. After 15 minutes, remove the towel and use a scrub brush to remove the residue.
5. Rubbing Alcohol
In a spray bottle, mix 10 ounces of water and 3 ounces of alcohol. Spray the solution on the countertop. Let it act for a couple of minutes and wipe with a damp cloth.
