I always thought it would be great to pack up, hit the road and live a simpler lifestyle. I don’t think I’ll ever have the courage to do it, but this couple did! They bought a 1966 Greyhound commuter bus and turned it into a beautiful little house on wheels that is well worth its small footprint.

Looking at the finished product, it’s hard to believe that this amazing cabin-inspired interior was once filled with rows and rows of bus seats.

The bright interior includes a small kitchen, an office, a toilet and a bright bedroom at the back of the bus.

There’s even a cozy place to sit and read or have a coffee right at the entrance to the room.

Isn’t this little “library” along the wall of the room adorable?

There’s even a decent sized closet – a rarity in small homes.

The tiny bathroom has a mahogany wood grooved floor to drain the water to dry off after showering. The shower drain is connected to the floor drain, and both lead to a gray water tank mounted on the underside of the bus.

Gone is the rust and faded paint. The bus has been painted a sleek white and the bumpers powder coated to prevent rust.

While a tiny, mobile life isn’t for everyone, there’s something to be said for being able to explore the world (or even the state) without having to pay a high rent or mortgage.
