HOW TO MAKE IT :
- Preheat oven to 250° F.
- Arrange the crackers on a cooling rack over a baking sheet in a single layer. Top each cracker with 1/3 slice bacon, and evenly sprinkle the desired amount of brown sugar over the top.
- Bake for 1 hour or until browned and crisp.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
NOTES
- Want a spicy-sweet flavor? Add a bit of ground black pepper or cayenne pepper over the brown sugar.
- Store any leftover crackers in a ziptop bag or airtight container in the refrigerator.
STORAGE
These crackers never last long whenever we serve them. But, if you need to store them, they are okay at room temperature for a couple of hours. You can refrigerate them for longer – about 3 days. You can also freeze them for up to one month.
TO FREEZE
Prepare the recipe as directed and allow the crackers to cool completely. Place the crackers in a large ziptop bag or airtight freezer-safe container for up to one month. When ready to serve, thaw the crackers and place them on a baking sheet in a 250F oven for about 10-15 minutes or until heated through.
