You all know how much I love brownies. (This brownie recipe will always be my favorite.) Therefore, I have made it my personal mission in life to share only the best brownie recipes.
Homemade fudge brownies?
Yes, they absolutely are. But if you want to speed up the process, you can use store-bought ones. Just buy the largest size they have, which is usually 9 x 13 size.
How to make brownies-peanut butter dessert
First, prepare the brownies: bake them in a 9 x 13 pan and let them cool to room temperature.
Prepare the peanut butter filling. You want the filling to be as smooth as possible, so feel free to use a stand mixer.
Make the whipped cream. Keep in the refrigerator until you are ready to assemble the brownie dessert.
Cut 30 mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups into quarters. Set aside until you’re ready to make the brownie dessert. (Set aside until ready to assemble brownie dessert (and then eat some).
Place the peanut butter filling on top of the cooled brownies. Spread it out so that it is evenly distributed. Carefully spread the whipped cream over the peanut butter layer. (I use a small offset spatula to spread the layers evenly. Finally, scatter the peanut butter cup pieces over the dessert. Let stand in the refrigerator for 2 hours, up to overnight. If you wish, you can easily cover the dessert with plastic wrap or aluminum foil.
How to store the brownies
Layered toppings need to be stored in the refrigerator. Covered, they will last 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
