Burn
Have you eaten something too spicy it burned your mouth? We’ve all been there, but whatever happens, don’t try to cool things down using water. It doesn’t help. And this is because hot spices and sauces contain an oil-like substance that never dissolves in water. So instead of drinking water, try one of these following drinks:
Milk
The most notable strategy to chill off your mouth is drinking an old fashioned glass of milk. For what reason does this work? Spicy food contains a substance called capsaicin, which appends itself to the parts of the bargains. This gives your mind the sign for “fire!”. Milk, in any case, contains casein, which thus joins itself to the capsaicin and essentially douses the fire.
Yogurt
Yogurt works a similar path as milk in that it quenches the fire in your mouth. It’s far better, however, to eat some yogurt before you start your fiery supper.
