DIY Easy & Cheap Makeup Brush Cleaner

Bare Minerals is my favorite cosmetic brand. I love their makeup and tools no matter how much they cost because they really work for me. But the only thing that annoys me is how expensive their brushes are. They can cost as $30 pet single brush. In this way, clearly taking care of the brushes is the best way to save your precious money. I try to deep clean my brushes every month. Rather than using the store-bought cleanser they sell, I make my own one. It’s so simple and easy to make and it doesn’t cost a lot.

To clean the brushes, I use baby shampoo and olive oil. Blend 2 sections baby shampoo and 1 section olive oil in a small glass bowl.

If I am cleaning out my bigger brushes, I blend 3 tablespoons baby shampoo and 1/2 tablespoons olive oil. This normally is enough to ensure that the brushes get perfectly covered by the blend.

I use one of the brushes to mix the baby shampoo and oil up. The blend will turn an odd soft color when you blend it.

When I rub the brush softly against the side of the bowl. You will start to see the colors leaving the brush.
