When you think back to your childhood, you can probably name a few specific foods that you always ate growing up. In addition to making a great pecan pie, my grandmother used to make us something extremely similar to the recipe we are about to share with you.

A vintage-looking photo posted by MyFridgeFood explains how to make a Hawaiian-inspired treat the whole family will love. All you have to do is pour the liquid from a can of Dole pineapple slices. Replace the liquid with a jelly mixture. Chill the can until it sets, then run a little hot water over the sides of the can to make it easier to loosen. Cut off the bottom of the can, then remove the mold. Cut between the pineapple slices and serve.

How clever is this old-school dessert recipe? This would be such a quick, easy, and refreshing treat to serve up on a hot summer day. You know that all the kids will love it, but you can bet your bottom dollar the parents will love it, too!
