Fill your microwave bowl with water and squeeze the juice from a few lemon wedges. Add the squeezed lemon wedges as well. Put the bowl in the microwave for three minutes. When the time is up, leave the bowl in the microwave with the door closed for about five minutes. Be very careful when taking the bowl out of the microwave, it will probably be very hot.
When you heat the lemon and water in the microwave, the moisture infused into the lemon covers the inside of the microwave oven. The lemon is a natural cleaning agent, so the lemon water releases the residue into the microwave and cleans it. This should allow you to clean the inside of your microwave with a damp cloth – and not have to rub it too hard.
Can you believe how simple it is? Now that you know this hack, you won’t have an excuse not to clean your microwave. And now, neither will I!
