Bathroom windows always seem to be a tricky thing. You obviously want privacy from neighbors and pedestrians, but you don’t want curtains or blinds that block all of the natural light. And that’s exactly where this DIY project comes in! The ladies over at Coral released this tutorial as part of their “Basic Girls’ Guide,” but this project is the exact opposite of basic!
To make a DIY lace privacy window covering, you will need:
Water
Cornstarch
Lace
Paintbrush
Scissors
Measuring tape
Directions:
Step 1: Measure the size of your bathroom window, then cut a piece of lace fabric (can be found at any fabric store) to fit the window.
Step 2: Dissolve two tablespoons of cornstarch in 1/4 cup of water. Then, add two cups of boiling water to the dissolved cornstarch.
Step 3: Lay the piece of lace flat on the window. Then, take the paintbrush and apply the cornstarch solution overtop of the lace.
Step 4: Let the solution dry, and you’ve got yourself a privacy window! The best part about this project is that if you get sick of the lace, you can just use warm water and soap to wash off the solution and remove it.
