This season, I feel like everyone has tomatoes they’re trying to give away. There are a lot of things you can do with tomatoes. If you are becoming wary of tomatoes, try this simple sun-dried tomato recipe. It’s so easy and natural to make sun-dried tomatoes that you can enjoy throughout the entire year.
Sun-dried tomatoes are anything but difficult to make in either an oven or food dehydrator. It just takes a couple of moments to make them and then let them dry. I love the flavor that comes from sun-dried tomato.
Start by washing the tomatoes. When they are clean, cut them in little even cuts. The more slender you cut them is the faster they will dry. By having reliably estimated cuts you will safeguard that they all dry simultaneously.
Spot them in the dehydrator or on a skillet in the oven. I set my food dehydrator to 145 degrees. If you are using an oven, you can put them on material paper at 200 degrees.
Let them dry until they become weak and will snap when you attempt to break them.
You would then be able to expel them from the oven or food dehydrator and let them cool. When they have cooled place them in cooler safe baggies and store them in the cooler.
