The complex was named Trinity Place, a building dedicated to the recovery of single mothers and preparing for reunification with their children after incarceration or drug addiction. The complex even includes a playroom full of toys and books, as well as an outdoor playground. Single mothers and their children have a safe living space, surrounded by other women in similar situations who act as a support network.
“The gap between the rich and the poor in our country continues to grow. And I believe that needs, such as affordable housing, will only increase as budget cuts are implemented,” says Rick. If our country really wants to be great, we need creative thinking tied to our hearts. And I hope that love and compassion can prevail over the values of crude commercialism, greed and ‘winners’ over ‘losers’.
