I saw small houses and vacation rentals in several non-traditional homes, including old train cars, school buses, and even pineapple cabins! But there is one thing I can say for sure that I have never seen before… A guest room in a converted grain silo! It may seem absurd, but it’s actually a lovely rustic “cabin” that I think would be great to stay in.

The Gruene Homestead Inn Bed & Breakfast has decided to transform a 1940’s grain elevator into a beautiful loft that can be rented at your property. The Gruene Homestead Inn is located in New Braunfels, Texas, and the silo attracts a large number of visitors each year.

The silo is certainly charming and picturesque on the outside, and the interior is no different. It can accommodate up to four people and has a double bed and two single beds. There is also wifi, a television, a rustic-chic bathroom, a kitchenette and a mini-living room.
