Romany Creams, originally from South Africa, are the typical biscuits my family eats every year at Eid. The originals are two chocolate and coconut biscuits covered with a rich and creamy chocolate coating, but the ones I made today have a few drops of mint essence mixed with the melted chocolate to give it a mint taste.

Ingredients:

4 cups of cake flour
1 teaspoon of baker’s yeast
1 cup of cocoa powder
2 cups of dry coconut.
2 cups 2 grams dark chocolate, melted
2 cups of butter
1 cup of icing sugar
1/4 cup icing sugar
1/4 cup oil
1 egg
1 large vanilla spoon
