One of my best friends is a nurse, and she’s the first person I call for advice in regards to minor health issues. She always knows what to do, and her helpful tips always put my mind at ease. If you don’t have a nurse friend, check out the following nurse-approved hacks!

2. Rubbing Alcohol

If you have a bunch of knots or mats in your hair, put a small amount of rubbing alcohol on the area, then rub it in. The alcohol will take away any residue and subsequently loosen the tangles.

3. Vicks VapoRub

If you have a cold or clogged sinuses, try putting a dab of Vicks VapoRub underneath your nose. The menthol will help to clear everything up.

4. Fold Laundry

This may sound silly, but if you’re experiencing anxiety, try folding some laundry. Folding laundry is calming and methodical, and it can help you to relax.

5. Hydrogen Peroxide

If you’ve gotten blood on a piece of clothing, apply a few drops of hydrogen peroxide to the stain. Wait a few minutes, then apply a few more drops.
