Towels are one of those things that seem to wear out quickly. Unless you buy the most expensive ones on the market, you may have to change your towels several times a year. However, used and tattered towels are not necessarily meant to be thrown away. There are many different ways to recycle your old towels to give them new life.
1. Tea Towels
One thing you never get tired of? Kitchen towels! You can always cut up your old towels and turn them into kitchen towels. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also add decorations and fun handles.
2. DIY Bath Mat
A few old towels of different colors can make a perfect bath mat.
3. Fun Beach Bag
Towels can be an excellent beach bag because the fabric dries very quickly. If you have a towel with a fun design, it’s even better!
4. Outdoor Throw Pillows
By sewing up a few old towels and filling them with padding, you can get some great outdoor cushions for your patio furniture.
5. Shower Caddy
Why go out and buy a shower caddy to store your bathroom necessities when you can make your own? It would make for a great DIY project on a rainy day.
6. Reusable Swiffer Pads
Save the environment and some money by making your own Swiffer pads. Just cut out some rectangles from your old towels and wash them once they get dirty. That way, you can use them time and time again.
7. Baby Bibs
Anything baby-related is expensive, so if you can save a buck or two, why wouldn’t you?
