Have you ever wanted to grow your own tomatoes? We don’t blame you. There is nothing juicier and more delicious than your own homegrown tomatoes. If you’re wondering where to begin, we have the easiest hack for you. All you need to start your very own tomato vines are a pot, some dirt, and some tomato slices. This method of growing tomatoes is SO easy, you don’t have an excuse not to go and try it for yourself! you’ll be shocked by just how simple it is.
To start all you need to do is get a pot filled with dirt for your to-be seedlings to root in. Take a tomato (maybe an overripe tomato you were thinking about throwing away) and cut it into slices about a 1/4 inch thick. Throw those slices onto the pot of dirt and cover them with another layer of dirt. Tip: Make sure you don’t cover them with too much dirt, you want to put on just enough so that they’re just barely covered. Don’t forget to water them every day.
In a week or two you’ll have seedlings that are starting to grow! So. Simple. If you have some bigger seedlings, gently take them out of their original pot and plant them separately. Two vines to a pot are ideal.
Don’t throw away those overripe tomatoes! Use them to grow your very own veggies in a snap.
