DIY Bar Cart

I LOVE bar carts! I have always loved them. I wanted to buy one, but couldn’t afford it. So I decided to DIY one at an affordable price.

The bar cart gods were looking down their noses at me when I went to a garage sale and came across this cart that cost only €2.00.

It is badly rusted, but we used an electric drill with a wire brush and most of it was removed. There are still some dents in places, but not serious.

After removing all the rust we primed and spray painted the pulls and trays, I don’t have pictures of this part but it’s pretty self explanatory. After drying, I added a herringbone pattern to the trays using a gold paint marker.

I then painted some areas with gold, pink and mint. The design didn’t make any sense, I just did what I liked.

Once the paint was dry, we put it all together and voila! A beautiful bar cart for a total of about 10.00 (if you have to buy the paint). I already had all the paint on hand, so it only cost me 2.00 for the cart! Good point
