The proper ways to get rid of hyperpigmentation

Excessive production of melanin is the main reason behind hyperpigmentation that causes uneven color and dark patches on the skin. This condition can happen anywhere on the body even on legs, neck, arms, hands, and FACE.

The driven factor of the excessive production of melanin that causes hyperpigmentation is due to hormonal changes in the body, pregnancy, and other problems. When it comes to external causes, contact wit certain chemicals, burning, excessive sun exposure, emotional stress, and skin injuries can lead to hyperpigmentation. If you want to deal with hyperpigmentation naturally, here are 10 natural ways to do it.

1. Lemon

To get full use of lemon, squeeze out the fresh lemon juice and start rubbing it on the skin with a cotton ball. Let it sit for 15 minutes before washing it off with water. Make sure to repeat this method 2 times a day for two months.

You can also make a face mask by mixing equal parts of honey and fresh lemon juice. Once done, apply the mixture to the affected part of the facial skin and cover it with a warm towel for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. Make sure to repeat the process once a week for a couple of months. If you have sensitive skin, then dilute the lemon juice with a little water before using it.

2. Raw Potato

Peel a potato, cut it into thick slice and drop some water drops on its surface. Once done, start rubbing it on your skin for 10 minutes before rinsing it off using lukewarm water. Repeat this process 4 times a day for one month. Or, squeeze the juice off of a grated medium size potato, then mix it with an equal part of lemon juice. Once done, apply the mixture on the affected area, let it sit for 30 minutes before washing it off. Make sure to repeat this process two times a day for a month.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar

Mix apple cider vinegar with vinegar and water, then rinse the affected area with the premade solution and let it sit for three minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water. Make sure to repeat this method two times a day for a couple of weeks.

You can also mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar with half a glass of warm water, then mix the solution with a teaspoon of honey. Start drinking the solution two times a day (in the morning and at night) for a few weeks until you start noticing an improvement.

4. Vitamin E

Grab three vitamin E capsules, puncture them and put the contents in a bowl, then add in four drops of castor oil and start mixing well before applying it to the affected skin. Apply the blend before going to bed and rinse it off first thing in the morning. Make sure to repeat the process every day for three weeks.

Another option is to massage vitamin E oil into your affected skin for 10 minutes two times a day for a couple of weeks to reduce hyperpigmentation.

5. Turmeric

Mix a teaspoon of lemon juice with a teaspoon of turmeric powder, then apply it to the affected area. Let it sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. However, make sure not to go out in the sun for an hour after applying the blend. Do this method once a day before showering for better results.

Or you can a paste by mixing 10 tablespoons of milk with 5 tablespoons of turmeric powder and applying it to the affected skin. Once done, make sure to massage it gently for 5 minutes and let it on for 20 minutes before washing it off with warm water.

6. Aloe Vera

Apply aloe vera gel on the affected skin before going to bed and let it on for an entire night, then rinse it off the next morning. Make sure to repeat this method every day for a couple of weeks.
