A perfectly clean kitchen is a thing of beauty, isn’t it? Even though we don’t really like to clean up after a big meal, it’s very satisfying to get the counters and stovetop back in pristine condition. However, there is still one area that is decidedly NOT satisfying: the cabinet fronts. The sticky, gunky cabinet fronts. Whether they’ve become that way from new food splashes or previous tenants, restoring them to their former glory can be difficult, especially if, like us, you try to avoid abrasive cleaners. Luckily, there’s an easy solution from our favourite cleaning specialist, One Good Thing by Jillee. She discovered that the best way to clean her greasy, oil-stained kitchen cabinets was to use an unexpected ingredient: oil!

Yes, the solution to oil stains is, in fact, oil. In fact, it’s one of only TWO ingredients you need to make this effective cleaner:

-1 part vegetable oil
-2 parts baking soda

Simply mix your ingredients together with a spoon. Then use a sponge, an old toothbrush or your hands to work the cleaner into the cabinet doors. Repeat the process on all your cabinets and they will shine like new again! You’ll be amazed at all the things that come off your cabinets.

How easy is that?! What do you think of this cleaner?
