To make Karyn’s DIY jewelry cleaning solution, you will need:

1 tablespoon of salt

1 tablespoon of baking soda

1 tablespoon of liquid dish detergent

1 cup of water

1 piece of aluminum foil

Directions:

Step 1: Heat the water in the microwave for one to two minutes.

Step 2: Cut a piece of aluminum foil big enough to roughly cover the bottom of a small bowl.

Step 3: Pour the hot water into the bowl. Add in the salt, baking soda, and dish detergent.

Step 4: Place the jewelry on top of the foil and let it sit for five to ten minutes. When the time is up, rinse the jewelry with cool water and dry it completely using a soft cloth.

And that’s it! Karyn explains that this hack works well for gold-filled, brass, German silver, and stirling silver jewelry. Thanks, Karyn, for sharing this great tip!
