Pineapple has to be my favourite fruit. It always makes me think of a tropical holiday, even if I’m just sitting in my kitchen on a summer day! If you like to eat pineapples too, the tip I’m about to share with you will make them even tastier.

According to Food 52, once a pineapple has been plucked from the plant, it doesn’t ripen any further. And so, you might be left with a pineapple that’s a little less sweet and a little more firm than you would have liked. Thankfully, all you have to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. Cut the top crown of the pineapple off.
  2. Place the pineapple (cut-side down) on a plate.
  3. Cover the pineapple with foil or plastic wrap and store it in the fridge for two to three days.

When the time’s up, you’ll find that your pineapple is far sweeter and juicier. This is because the sugary juices from the riper part of the pineapple drip down and spread throughout the fruit. For such an easy hack, you can really transform the flavor of a would-be bland pineapple!
