Directions
Next time you purchase green onions at the supermarket, cut them well over the root. I like to put them into a shot glass of distilled water. You can use another dish, but I find that the state of shot glasses works especially well with green onions.
In only a couple of days, you’ll notice that they are beginning to develop. See the entirety of that new green growth?
A couple of days after, if you keep an eye on them, you’ll notice they’ve become considerably more! They’ll simply continue developing from that point. When they find a workable pace length, just trim them down again so you can use the green onions – and keep them developing.
Sometimes I like to stagger planting the green onions by a couple of days. It’s enjoyable to see their improvement next to each other.
Notes
At regular intervals, you’ll need to change the water they’re growing in or you’ll end up with spoil. You’ll see that it gets stained – that’s your intimation to change the water.
Sooner or later, the onions just won’t develop too, yet you can basically repeat this procedure. It’s enjoyment inevitably!
