“Things that really matter are the things that gold can’t buy, so let’s have another cup of coffee and let’s have another piece of pie.” -Irving Berlin

Have you ever been in a bad mood and all you needed is a piece of pie? I know that feeling my friend! It gets me once a day.

No Fuss Pie Crust recipe is for pie lovers who adores collecting crust’s different tips and recipes, this one right here is the easiest, you can finally bake your pie without overthinking about all the troubles and mess you’ll need to deal with (the cutting in of the cubed butter, the systematic spooning of the ice water, flour all over the counters as you work the dough out with a rolling pin and much more craziness). Yes! You read everything right! No more rolling nor cutting in, and most important, no ice is needed!

“We must have a pie. Stress cannot exist in the presence of a pie.” -David Mamet

How to section

My friend! Are you ready to take this fabulous journey with us? You better say yes! Wear your apron and follow m lead, things are about to go sweet and tasty.

RED FLAG:

Please use only known brands especially when dealing with flour.

Simple Steps:

  1. Take a medium bowl, combine the fellow ingredients together very well: all-purpose flour, oil, cold water, salt and baking powder.
  2. Make sure to mix well (use your hands) and press the dough onto the pie dish with your fingers.
  3. Bake after filling with preferred filling under high heat (400°F) for 15 minutes or until it becomes crispy and golden.

Notes:

  • Poke crust with a fork all over the inside so it doesn’t over puff.
  • Make sure you press down into the bottom rim of the pan to spread out the dough and keep it from being so thick.
  • To avoid having problems removing the pie from the pan, spray the pie pan with a non-stick spray.
  • Personally, white Lili flour gives the best results! Think about it!
  • Leave the crust to cool for some time before filling it!

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons of cold water
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ spoon of oil (you choose which one)
  • ¼ tablespoon of baking powder
