Saving money is not easy, maybe it seems so when saying it, but not when you actually try to save. Whether you’re saving for a vacation, or you simply want to keep some money aside just in case you need it, we tend to spend a lot in our everyday life and it prevents us from saving up for what we need. So if you’re looking for a simple, realistic way to save money, this 52-week challenge will make it possible for you.
The 52-week challenge is about putting aside a small number of dollars by the end of every week. You can start with 1$ in the first week, 2$ in the second one, 3$ in the third one, and the numbers keep increasing until you reach 52$ per week. Other ones start with 52$ in the first week and keep decreasing the dollar amount until they reach 1$.
You might be able to put aside more dollars every week, which is great! The purpose of this challenge is to make you put aside a small amount of money regularly and get used to it. Even if the numbers are small, anything you save will benefit you later.
If you’re looking for an easy way to put away the money, start a savings account but if you have some self-control, start using an envelope or a piggy bank, they will do the job just fine. You can find other 52-week challenges or other challenges online and you can choose your favorite one based on your yearly income. Here is a chart for this challenge which is great to start saving.
