HOW TO MAKE IT :
- Take four pieces of foil and roll them into balls.
- Place the balls at the bottom of the crock pot. This keeps your chicken above the juices and gives you that rotisserie flavor.
- Now, you can also place carrots or potatoes at the bottom and you will have a side dish and the chicken all in one. We have done this often and the vegetables are amazing!
- Place the chicken breast side up, on top of the foil inside the crockpot.
- Smear the butter all over the skin of the chicken.
- Add salt, pepper, and any seasoning you want. Season liberally. This is the chicken seasoning we used and it is amazing!
- Place the lid on top.
- Cook on low 4-6 hours, or cook on high for 3 hours.
- Make sure chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Remove chicken from crockpot and serve!
- If you want to have crispy skin like you get with roasted chicken, place the chicken in a baking dish or cookie sheet and broil for 4-5 minutes. Just keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn!
