The pancreas is an organ that can be located in the abdomen that has an important role in the digestive system because it plays a crucial role in converting food into energy. Furthermore, the pancreas can regulate blood sugar, help in the digestion process, and absorb the fat-soluble vitamins. Pancreas problems can slip under the radar because of the organ’s position and for that reason alone you should learn about the symptoms of pancreatic diseases like pancreatic cancer.

1. Abdominal pain.

If you experience sharp pain in the middle section, then it can be a sign of acute pancreatitis, and if the pain starts in the middle section and starts propagating to the mid or lower back, then it can be a sign of pancreatic cancer. If you continue feeling the pain for a few weeks, then you should see a doctor as soon as possible.

2. Nausea after burgers.

Experiencing nausea after eating pizza, avocado, hamburgers, nuts, or fatty foods can be because of your pancreas having a hard time breaking down fats.

3. Weight loss.

If you start experiencing sudden weight loss and radiating pain all at the same time, then you probably have digestive problems due to pancreatic disease.

4. Diabetes.

If you have type 2 diabetes and you follow a healthy diet and have a normal diet, then you should ask your doctor whether or not there’s something wrong with your pancreas. In case your diabetes got out of hand and started getting hard to manage, then there is something wrong with your pancreas and you should definitely let your doctor know.

5. Floating, light colored stool.

If your waste looks a little weird, then something must be wrong. If your stool is floating and light-colored, then your body is not absorbing enough nutrients. If your stool is oily and greasy, then there’s something wrong with your pancreas because it probably can’t break down fat.

Now, let’s get to the real deal. If you suspect that you have, or you are sure that you have pancreatic problems, then here are 5 treatments for you to try.

1. Lightly steamed vegetables.

If you have chronic pancreatitis, then a plant-based diet is the best thing to do. Raw vegetables are full of vitamins and minerals, but if your digestive tract is irritated because of the raw vegetables, then steam them a little bit before consuming them.

2. Hydrotherapy.

If you are dealing with painful pancreatitis symptoms and you want to treat them, you will need someone’s assistance. Tell the assistant to cover your abdomen and bare chest with two towels (they should be wrung in warm water and should not be too hot to not burn your skin). Now tell them to use a dry towel and a blanket to cover the warm wet towels and rest for 5 minutes. Once the time has passed, take the warm towels off you and ask your assistant to replace them with a thin towel (this time it should be wrung in cold water), make sure that it covers the chest and abdomen. Cover the cold towel with a dry one and a blanket, then rest for about 10 minutes. Now ask your assistant to remove the towels, then turn over and lie flat on your stomach and repeat with hot and cold towels.

3. Power breakfast.

Make sure to have a cup of oatmeal, a glass of warm water and lemon juice, and a kiwi on breakfast to start your day right. Don’t forget to drink water, make sure to drink 2 liters of water, eat fruits that have antioxidants, and of course, leafy green vegetables during the day.

4. Dandelion root.

Dandelion root can stimulate the production of bile, clean blood, and provide a good working environment for the pancreas. To properly ingest dandelion root, make sure to drink dandelion tea.

5. Licorice root.

If you present this herb to your digestive system, your pancreas will thank you from the bottom of its heart. Licorice root can help your body digest food and help it produce bile.
