Depending on your job or lifestyle, many of us spend quite a bit of time driving. If you spend a lot of time in your vehicle, you want to feel comfortable in it. The following hacks will not only help to make your car cleaner, but they’ll also help to make driving more convenient and enjoyable.

1. DIY GPS Holder

If you use your phone for navigation but don’t have a holder for it, don’t worry! All you need is an elastic band. Just feed an elastic band through your air vent and use a pen to loop it through on the other side. The elastic band will wrap around both ends of your phone to allow for hands-free driving and navigating.

2. Paintbrush For Dusting

Speaking of air vents, they can get extremely dusty over time. They’re also quite hard to clean because they’re so little. To dust your air vents, just run a paint brush along them!

3. DIY Defogger

In the winter, the windows of your car can get fogged up so easily, especially overnight. To prevent your windows from fogging up, fill a sock with kitty litter and fasten the end with an elastic. The kitty litter absorbs moisture from the air, so keep the sock on your dashboard or under one of the seats.

4. Line Cup Holders

If you’re constantly on the road, you probably always have a coffee or other drink close by. To avoid spills and sticky messes, line your cup holders with silicone baking cups. When you make a mess, simply remove the cup and rinse it out.

5. DIY Garbage Can

While we’re on the topic of car messes, use a plastic cereal container as a DIY garbage can. Line it with a plastic grocery bag to contain all of your garbage in one convenient spot.

6. Prevent Frozen Wipers

If you live somewhere that gets snow and freezing temperatures during the winter, attach socks to your windshield wipers before you go to sleep. In the morning when you go to start your car, your wipers won’t be frozen to the windshield.
