1. Mix up a DIY carpet freshening powder

Mix 25 drops of essential oil of your choice with a cup of baking soda until you get a powder. Once your mix is done, put it in a mason jar and start sprinkling the obtained powder all over the carpet (sprinkle the required amount only). Once done, let the powder sit for a while before vacuuming the carpet.

Mix 2 cups of cornmeal with a cup of borax, then add a couple of drops of essential oils of your choice (optional) until you get a powder. Once done, dab the obtained solution on the stained area(s) using a clean cloth until there are no stains left. You can let the area(s) dry all by itself, or you can blot it with a dry cloth to dry it.
