Cleaning the microwave is not something you do regularly. I always forget this task because the inside of the microwave is not something I look at all the time. However, over time, the microwave gets covered with burned food residue, oil and dirt. Therefore, it is important to clean it thoroughly from time to time.
Fortunately, cleaning all that burnt-on dirt doesn’t require a ton of scrubbing, effort and time. There’s a simple tip that will help you clean and disinfect your microwave without having to scrub it. All you need is a glass or measuring cup, some water and a few slices of lemon.
Fill your microwave bowl with water and squeeze the juice from a few lemon wedges. Add the squeezed lemon wedges as well. Put the bowl in the microwave for three minutes. When the time is up, leave the bowl in the microwave with the door closed for about five minutes. Be very careful when taking the bowl out of the microwave, it will probably be very hot.
