Let us face it, running shoes are pricy even though they get beat up over time but it is what it is, but fortunately, there are some slithery ways to expand their life span a little bit longer. To clean your sneakers, simply mix baking soda with water to make a paste, then use it to scrub you running shoes, then rinse them and put them outside to dry up. Here is an effective way to remove creases from running shoes.
As time goes by, you will notice that your shoes started developing creases on the top midsection area. When I noticed the creases on my running shoes, I thought that I will never be able to get rid of the creases, but luckily Shantel De Bonsu shared a life-saving hack for those who want to remove creases from their running shoes (people like me)
You will need:
- Socks, old clothes, or tissue paper
- Small towel or cloth
- Iron
- Hot water
Steps you have to do
Step 1: Start by taking the socks, old clothes, or towels and stuff them in the shoes until the creases are not noticeable, and until you can’t move the top of the shoe by pressing it.
Step 2: Take the small towel and dip in hot water, then start squeezing water for dampening reasons.
Step 3: Take the wet towel and place it on top of the crease.
Step 4: Use a VIM to iron the towel, but make sure to lift the VIM to avoid burning your shoe. The time needed to clear the crease varies and depends on how bad is it.
This hack went viral right after being posted. People went crazy and started posting pictures of their shoes before and after the usage of this hack.
