You should never keep a toothbrush for more than three months, you simply need to replace it and get another one.
2. You Use The Wrong Motions
Now this is a very common thing, people think that when brushing their teeth, they need move the brush side to side. But dentists advise using an up-and-down motion to prevent teeth damage.
3. You Only Brush Your Teeth
People find this a bit strange, but teeth brushing isn’t about brushing your teeth only. Your tongue and gum need to brushed as well, they contain numerous types of bacteria too.
4. You Don’t Spend Enough Time Brushing
We’ve all had those mornings where we’re pressed for time and rush through brushing our teeth. However, you should be brushing your teeth for a minimum of two minutes each time you brush. You should also be brushing your teeth a minimum of two times each day.
5. You Use The Wrong Toothbrush
Some people prefer traditional toothbrushes, while others prefer the electric type. Regardless of what toothbrush you choose, you need a toothbrush with soft bristles. Soft bristles will reach under the gums without damaging them (or your teeth).
6. You Brush Too Hard
You might think that brushing your teeth with a lot of pressure is more effective. However, brushing your teeth too hard doesn’t clean your teeth any better. It will likely just cause your gums to be sore afterwards.
