How to cut your Watermelon?

Wash your watermelon very well and dry it, use a cutting board to cut off the top and the bottom; cut it in half, and start removing the rind (make sure to use a well sharped knife and careful not to cut your fingers).

After removing all the rind, you’ll get a big ball of red watermelon, cut in small pieces and store in a big bowl.

These pieces can last for few days in the fridge, make sure to eat them in a range between one to three days.

Use an airtight safe container to store your watermelon! Better not leave it uncovered.

The right way to tell if a watermelon is ripe

  • Ripe fruits have smooth skin.
  • They look nice and heavy.
  • They have green stems.
  • Sounds like empty when tapping.

Extra ways to enjoy your Watermelon

Like any other fruit, watermelon can be enjoyed in several ways. Make your children happy and prepare for them cold watermelon extras!

  • Because watermelon is 92% water, make a juice out of it and get a tasty cold juice for a hot summer day!
  • Make a smoothie, combine watermelon cubes with yogurt and strawberries (you can also add some other fruits if available), cool in the fridge and serve!
  • Have you ever made watermelon lollipops? Maybe it’s time, cut watermelon slices and insert sticks into the rind and your lollipops are ready for serving.

If you are looking for a way to add more flavors to your watermelon, cut a slice of lemon and squeeze 1 tablespoon of it over sliced watermelon. You can also add salt and pepper, hot sauce or cayenne!
