Toothaches are the worst. Try one of these 6 home remedies before calling the dentist

Toothaches suck. That’s it. Thank you for reading.

Toothaches are some of the most intense pain we ever experience. It is usually because of cavities or growth of wisdom teeth. The reasons vary, but the pain is similar; excruciating. While monsters- err, dentists treat our teeth alright, we can use remedies found in our pantry to soothe toothaches.

1. Clove oil

Gargle with some clove oil to benefit from its analgesic properties. The longer you do, the quicker the pain will recede.

2. Onion

Onions are natural antibacterials, with anti-inflammatory properties on the side. As such, it is easy to soothe toothaches by chewing some raw onion. You might want to pop some tic-tacs to get rid of the smell, though.

3. Tea bags

Tannin is a natural anti-inflammatory, and you can find it in tea. Place a refrigerated, used tea bag on the tooth from which the pain originates. In a few minutes, the pain will recede.

4. Garlic

Allicin is bountiful in garlic, and it is extremely efficient in dealing with toothaches. Chew on a garlic clove, and you will notice the pain receding as you chew, and the smell. Oh, the smell.

5. Brush and floss

Daily, oral hygiene is necessary to maintain healthy teeth, with no aches to mention. Make sure to brush and floss at least twice a day, and never sleep with your mouth dirty.

6. Salt water

You can swish some salt water in your mouth to soothe toothaches. The result will be instant.
