Everyone enjoys the warmer seasons. There is this joy that comes with spring and summer that cannot be denied. There are also ants and mosquitoes that come with these lovely seasons, invading our houses and making the act of lying down a living hell, let lone functioning in that heat.
The sudden invasion forces us to invest in a truckload or twelve of insecticides, which cost a lot, but also don’t do the job effectively. There is always a stray cockroach a few hours after spraying, or a line of ants carrying crumbs. The risk of catching a respiratory disease is a big one as well.
Since insecticides aren’t doing the trick, here is an easy and health-friendly way to get rid of these pests forever, with one key ingredient as the common and most effective component; Boric acid.
Cockroaches
Ingredients
- Boric acid (Borax)
- Eggs
- White sugar
Instructions
Boil a few eggs, then mix their yolk with boric acid and white sugar. Spread the mixture around your house in small doses wherever you doubt cockroaches are.
Ants
Ingredients
- Boric acid
- Maple syrup
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
Mix Borax and maple syrup into a paste to kill the ants, then the acid and sugar to kill the queen and the antlings. Apply both pastes whever you doubts there are ants (crevices, woodfloor..).
Fleas
Vacuum your whole house very thoroughly, not missing a single inch. Sprinkle boric acid on the carpet and every crack and crevice the eyes can see. Vacuum again after a span of 48 hours.
