8 ways to treat sneezing and congestions

One of the most nerve-wracking experiences is waking up feeling congested and constantly sneezing. Although this can be strongly related to the area you sleep in and what you sleep on (bedding, pillows, etc) it can also be related to other factors like very cold air conditioning, dry climate, dust mite, animal hair, or mold reaction.

Before starting any kind of treatments, make some changes like turning up AC a little bit, sleeping with a humidifier, or changing the bedding for a week so you can identify the irritants or allergens. Without further ado, here are 8 ways to treat morning congestions and sneezing.

1. Turmeric

This method can only deal with sneezing. All you have to do is sprinkle one or two spoons of turmeric powder in a pan and put it on high heat. Once done, start inhaling the fumes after waking up in the morning, then repeat the process two or three times across the day.

2. Black pepper, pepper leaf, turmeric

This method is quite simple, all you have to do is wrap five to eight pepper seeds and a little bit of turmeric powder in a pepper leaf, then heat them lightly and start chewing them when you brush your teeth.

3. Fennel tea

Funnel tea is full of antibacterial and antiviral properties that can help you develop resistance against allergies that cause morning sneezing.

4. Ginger

Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agent that can alleviate coughing. All you have to do is chew on a small piece of ginger and that’s it.

5. Garlic, clove

Mix garlic and clove until you get a paste (it is full of antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antiviral properties). Once done, inhale the paste and enjoy the properties.
