  • 1/3 cup (42g) dark cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks or 170g) butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

BUTTERFINGER FROSTING

  • 1 cup (2 sticks or 227g) unsalted butter,  room temperature
  • 4 cups (500g) confectioners’ sugar,  sifted
  • 4 mini Butterfinger candy bars, finely chopped
  • 1 large pinch of salt
  • 1-3 tablespoons whole milk, as needed
