How to make Tacos
Minced beef tacos are super easy, especially if you prepare the seasoning for your tacos ahead of time – tacos are literally as simple as 1,2,3!
Beef: Brown the ground beef over medium heat (sometimes I add cubes of onion and garlic). I like to use lean meat for a little fat flavor. Drain the fat before adding the spices.
Adding the spices: add tomato paste, water, and taco seasoning and bring to a boil until thickened. The water rehydrates the spices and allows the sauce to cover each piece of meat.
Heat the taco shells: hard shells should be baked to make them crisp and hot, and softshells can be baked or fried in the microwave.
Instructions
Step 1: Fry the ground meat over medium heat until it is no longer pink. Drain off the fat.
Step 2: Add the seasoning, water, and tomato paste. Simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened.
Step 3: preheat the oven to 350°F. Place taco shells on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes or until hot.
Step 4: Fill taco shells with meat and desired ingredients.
