Directions

  1. Mix equal parts of witch hazel and the four thieves herbal infusion
  2. Pour the witch hazel and tea mixture in the spray bottle
  3. Install the lid and shake the spray bottle gently

If you want to use essential oils instead of dry herbs, that is fine, but you have to use 13 to 15 drops of each and every essential oil (you can use any combination you like, but the herbal oil should be included in the four thieves list).

In my opinion, dried herbs are much better because I already have some of them planted in my backyard, so it is easy for me to dry them up and use them as I please.

If you don’t want to use essential oils or dried herbs, then you can use fresh herbs, but you should keep in mind that you have to use a quantity three times more than dried herbs because they are not as concentrated as the dried ones that have almost no water (that actually makes them stronger).

How to use

All you have to do is spray the DIY repellent on your skin before going out to keep mosquitos, gnats, flies, etc away from you. The best part is, there are no chemicals used in this DIY repellent, which makes it one of the safest options to use.
