Snack rationing.
Putting a lot of snack ration bags in a large box is tempting, but not very aesthetically pleasing. This is where a simple plastic tube is just what you need to make snacking a habit.
Simply glue on some cardboard (made from disassembled cereal boxes) to create a divider. Then, fill it with your favorite snacks and you have a container full of nutritious snacks.
Keep plenty of spices in the cupboard
Spices can take up a lot of space in a cupboard. If you have an old box of mints around, you can make use of them.
Label them nicely and transfer all the spices into small, compact boxes. You don’t have to worry about space, and you can easily access delicious cooking spices.
Lego stands.
Don’t know what to do with those pesky Lego blocks that fall at your feet in the middle of the night? Trying to make soup and your spoon or ladle is missing?
The answer is simple: just build a sturdy structure out of Legos and glue all your long spoons and kitchen utensils to it. You kill two birds with one stone.
Magnetic spices
Mint box with a bit of spice in it …… If that’s the case, here’s another solution. Attach a magnet to the inside of the spice jar lid and it will stick perfectly to the fridge.
No need to remove the spices from the container, it’s a hassle-free process. What’s more, by keeping the spices on the fridge, you’re also freeing up valuable storage space for other delicacies.
Make sure toilet paper is safe.
Life is a series of little things. Dropping a roll of toilet paper and watching half of it come undone can spur you on to a bad day.
Therefore, investing a few extra minutes to seal your toilet paper is really worth it. Simply press the toilet paper against the (already wet) sink faucet to create a homemade seal on the toilet paper. The toilet paper won’t come apart.
Designated towels.
If you live with a roommate, loved one or child, your communal bathroom will be a mess when you come out of the shower and your towel is already soaked.
Instead of experiencing the discomfort of wiping yourself with a wet, cold towel, use magnets, stickers or signs to make it clear to everyone in the house that “the towels are for you and only you.
Organizing Toiletries
The organizers used to organize pottery are not just for silverware. Use organizing techniques to turn standard utensils into multipurpose organizers.
Keep one of these bad boys in your bathroom cabinet and it will change your life. It will give you easy access to your toiletries. No more clutter, no more mess, and an overall better bathroom experience.
Utensil Storage
No room in the kitchen drawer for dishes? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. No more rummaging through drawers. No more knives swirling around in the drawer while you eat.
Once you’ve got the kids (or bored roommates) coloring the pots and labeling them accordingly, arrange all the utensils neatly next to the sink and plates. This will make your kitchen look more Instagram-worthy and may even bring peace to your soul.
