4. Get rid of smelly trash cans
Trash cans will start propagating smells sooner or later (both indoor and outdoor trash cans). To clean and disinfect your trash can, mix a gallon of hot water with a tablespoon of powdered laundry detergent and 3/4 cup of bleach. Once done, pour the solution in the trash can and let it sit for 30 minutes before scrubbing the inside of the can with a long-handled brush. Once done, rinse it and let it air dry.
