Clean up your dirty sinks the natural way

Dirty sinks are really tough to clean, but this method can make things easier. All you have to do is sprinkle baking soda all over your sink and squeeze half a lemon to get fresh lemon juice all over the baking soda. Use the other lemon half to scrub the dirty sink. Once done, turn on your faucet and rinse off the residue.

Clean your wall with an all-purpose cleaner (on paint), and if you have tile surfaces, then mix one part water with one part vinegar and use the solution the same way you use a normal cleaning product.

Clean up nasty tile buildup in the shower

Use shower gel to clean nasty tile build up in the shower instead of soap because it contributes more into the formation of the nasty build-up and because shower gels function more like detergents.

Clean the bathroom fan

Most people disassemble their bathroom fans to clean. The method is effective, but time and energy-consuming, plus it has some risks if you don’t assemble or disassemble the parts properly. Instead, turn on the fan and blast with compressed air from a compressed air can and that’s it (you will have to dust your bathroom once you are done).

Give the loo a proper scrub

Your toilet might need a little more TLC than you’re giving it. When cleaning the bowl, remember to scrub under the rim. You should also remove your toilet seat a few times a year to get all of the crevices. (This is particularly true if you’re potty-training boys!)

Cheap sneaker scrub

If your leather sneakers are looking dull and old, and you want to spark some light back into them, then dab the stained areas with toothpaste, then scrub off the debris with an old toothbrush. Once done, wipe off the paste and rinse. This method also dampens the exterior of your shoes.

General Tips

Candle wax

If you spilled candle wax on your carpet, then put a paper bag on the stain, then run a hot iron on top of it to melt the wax (the paper bag will soak it up).

Paint on your clothes

If you have paint stains on your clothes, get a new disposable razor and shave off the paint gently. However, if the shirt is 100% cotton, avoid applying this method because you will end up tearing it up.

Spilled eggnog

If someone or you spilled up eggnog on your white carpet, you can clean it off by blotting the stained area(s) with nail polish remover, then spraying a mixture of soap and water on top. Make sure to blot gently until the stains disappear.
